Iris absolute is one of the most precious elements of the perfumer's palette. Its extraction is a very long and delicate process. The rhizome must first be dried for at least three years. The vetiver is originally from India and Indonesia but also grows in Haiti and Reunion Island. It is a perennial plant with fragrant roots. The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation.
