When the 12 strokes of midnight have struck, everything can begin… Dior reinterprets the tale of Cinderella. This intensely blue fragrance incarnates the magical spells to perfectly. A mysterious rose over an oriental bed of ambry patchouli. Actress Eva Green incarnates this modern Cinderella for director Wong Kar Wai, photographer Solve Sundsbo and the House of Dior’s couturier, John Galliano. Created by Fran?ois Demachy, perfumer-creator for Dior, Midnight Poison was composed with a captivating yet elusive seductress in mind. Its singular signature is that of the queen of flowers, the rose, but a black and mysterious one set against a backdrop of patchouli and the aphrodisiac effects of amber. In its wake lies a metamorphosis of extraordinary sensuality.
 

Description

Midnight Poison Eau de Parfum is an oriental floral. A new Cinderella is born.

‘Not a well-behaved floral bouquet, but a strong statement’. A fruity opening built around citrus. A heart of dark rose, strengthened with patchouli, and an oriental trail of amber, French vanilla and ambrox. A perfume designed by Fran?ois Demachy in collaboration with Olivier Cresp and Jacques Cavallier, from Firmenich.

Intense and chromatic, the Poison bottle has been reinterpreted in a midnight-blue hue.

Top note ESSENCE OF DAMASK ROSE

Originally from Turkey and Bulgaria and a key element in the perfumer's palette, Damascus rose is used for its essence and absolute. It flourishes as the top note of Midnight Poison Eau de Parfum

Heart note PATCHOULI

Patchouli is a plant originally from Indonesia and Malaysia. A key element of the perfumer's palette, its essence is obtained by steam distilling the dried leaves. It is used in chypre, woody and oriental fragrances.

Base note AMBER ACCORD

This raw material is animal in origin and brings depth and sensuality to fragrances. This rare, precious substance used to be worth its weight in gold. It is now found in both men's and women's fragrances and brings out its mysterious tone as a base note in Midnight Poison.
